Photoshop Tools for Beginners

 My thoughts on the following videos on photoshop tools for beginners:

Glow Effect - Photoshop Tutorial | Glowing Effect I thought this video was so interesting, I loved the end result of the image. I personally would've never of thought to create glowing antlers but I love that with photoshop you are giving that ability to create whatever you can imagine. I still can't quite figure out how adding a Gaussian Blur gave that glowing effect, so if I were to create something similar I know that would be an issue I would have to fix. However once I figured out how to add that blur I believe changing the colors of the blur would be easy because you would go under the properties section similar to Illustrator. 

Double Exposure Effect - Photoshop Tutorial In the video the artist combined two photos together, a woman's head and a mountain landscape. I thought it was very cool how the artist was able to manipulate the size of the canvas to fit the width of how they wanted their art to be. I noticed that the layer option was very similar to that of Adobe's Illustrator platform. Overall, if I followed the video I would be able to combine many images to get that double exposure effect. A tool that I think will be easy to use is the layer option because I am already familiar with it due to Abode Illustrator. A tool that I believe that will be difficult is the outline/lasso effect. Even after watching the video a few times I still am amazed that the outline effect seemed so precise. 

How To Remove ANYTHING From a Photo In Photoshop 

I believe this video is very important because it shows you how to remove anything from the background of a photo. When one thinks of photoshop this is exactly what comes to find, editing photos to be the best possible version of itself. Using the lasso tool you can select part of the image that you want to disappear then Photoshop will replace that image with a formulated background based on how the background of the image is set. I believe that I will have the most difficulty using the Content Aware technology and remembering all the shortcuts on the keyboard. The path section tool is very efficient and I believe will be fairly easy to use. All you do is sects the area and sleet an area on the image that you want to replace it with.

 AUTOSCOPY The term autoscopy is derived from the Greek words "autos" (self) and "skopeo" (looking at). An autoscopy is a self-portrait with alternations to represent oneself or an experience. Within my autoscopy I included many space elements, specifically earth and different images of the galaxy. My final composition is composed of 4 images, my image, earth, a purple galaxy, and an orange galaxy. Somewhere-Dolphin Tale For my image I choose to put myself in one of my favorite childhood movies, Dolphin Tale. Winter's passing inspired me to photoshop myself into the movie and replace one of the main characters Hazel. Winter served as an inspiration as she learned to swim with a prosthetic tail after she was injured from a crab trap rope. Although Photoshop is not my favorite Adobe platform, I had a lot of fun with this project. After using all the methods we have been taught in class, everything started to come together. Overall, the hardest part of the whole project was including my tag brush on Sawyer's shirt.  Originally, I wanted to find a photo from the movie where more of the cast was in the photo however the images I found where not high enough resolution or displayed what I had in mind. Propaganda Poster

        Ice cream is by far my favorite food, I believe there is never a wrong time to have it. Depending on the flavor it could cover almost all of the food groups on the food pyramid, dairy, sugar, grain, and even fruit. Within my poster the two phrases which any ice cream lover would agree with are "Eat ice cream daily for happiness" and "never settle for just one scoop". When deciding on what I wanted my propaganda to be I was very conflicted. I wanted my poster to convey a cause however I also wanted my poster to represent me. I find WW2 very interesting so I started my search there. Although I find it very interesting I didn't;t feel a connection to the any of the inspirational propaganda posters I was looking at.
